My first encounter with kratom was in 2011 when I was staying in Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia). At that time, I was suffering from depression due to personal circumstances. Indonesia, and Jakarta in particular, is not a good place to be depressed. During this period, I happened to meet someone with whom I shared my problem.
