Per as 02-01-2020 Kratom has been added to the list of Psychotropic substances in The French Republic, meaning that production, manufacture, transport, import, export, possession, offer, transfer, acquisition or use of Kratom has been prohibited.
This is a severely bad news, not just for French nationals but also for EU citizens in general. In the EU although France often acts on its own accord new rules, laws and bans originating in France may very well be followed up by every other EU nation. With the ban on Kratom France is following in the footsteps of the UK where kratom was banned in 2016
